Amanda-Louise Knight Ceremonies is a local business which specialises in wedding planning and celebrant services. This site was created to replace a single page site that we built for them over a year ago when they first started out. Together we identified some key elements that we both felt needed to be added. As with all our projects we always look to design around the content first by doing research in to competitors, keywords and phrases and search statistics.
What is an SEO first approach to web design?
Once we identified these key elements it allowed us to quickly create content and design around this. The new site was given a fresh new feel along with keyword targeted content to ensure that we give them the best chance to rank for the services and areas that they wish to target. We added a news and advice section to allow us to further develop articles which highlight specialist services and promote products and ideas.
What tools did we use to build this website?
From our research we had seen that a lot of the sites in this sector were slow and used outdated technology and bloated website builders. We decided to design this site in Webflow as we wanted to make it easy for the client to update and as quick as possible without having the issue of having to perform plugin updates etc, as can be the case with wordpress and other products. Speed was paramount as we knew we would have a lot of images as we created a look and feel to help envisage all the excitement of a wedding day. Webflow allows us to both make updates and be able to concentrate on creating rich content. Semrush and Ahref was used to perform keyword searches and build our SEO strategy.
Support and development
We will be working with Amanda-Louise Knight Ceremonies over the next 12 months to ensure that we continue to employ and develop their SEO strategy by creating keyword rich content specific to the trends in their market. By looking at analytics and search console data we can quickly analysis what is working and what we need to expand on further to ensure we get the best results through Trust, Authority and Relevancy.
We are also helping them with the management of their Google My Business Profile including creating blog posts and helping engage with their audience through quality articles and identifying opportunities to develop their local business profile.
